I finally had the chance to collaborate with my talented friend and artist Joumana Ismail on Oman Arab Bank’s Eid Al Adha social media greeting with OMNIA Consulting.
We were asked to have OAB’s circular logo as the common theme to transition from one Eid celebratory scene to the other. The Eid feast, the Eid prayer, Henna art, catching up with family and of course, the fireworks.

The first transition was super interesting, Joumana illustrated an amazing and warm scene for the Eid feast, that was followed by an intricate dome design that looked great.
However animating intricate designs can be tricky without breaking up the design to its core essence, and at the end I ended up creating this dome animation with two keyframes.
Utilizing Kaleidoscope effect on top of a few circles set to Difference blend mode.
The round shape of the main dish served as a nice way to transition to the dome, which is by far my favorite transition in this animated piece.
Once we completed the transition, we had multiple tiny figures walking into the mosque, and it was actually lovely to animate their cute walk cycle and tiny conversation. (I did give each one of them a name and backstory, but that's only for me).
